~ Morisa Collection Review Part 4 ~
This time we will be introducing not only [sudare] but also [satsuki rain] and [koshi]!
[Blinds]
As the name suggests, this lace paper is modeled after blinds used for shade and privacy.
This thin, cool lace is recommended for use as a wrapping paper for sweet bean jelly or jelly. It also looks stylish when displayed as is.
Although it is called "sudare" (bamboo blind), depending on how you look at it, it can also have a border pattern...
The standard colors are white and cosmos only. Discontinued colors will be sold out as soon as they are gone, so please hurry.
[May Rain]
The pattern, which resembles raindrops scattered on a bamboo blind, represents dripping rain.
The "sa" in "samidare" is an archaic word for rice planting, referring to the traditional rice planting season (around June), and "midare" means dripping water, meaning rain.
As the characters suggest, "May rain" refers to the long rains (rainy season) that last from around the fifth month of the lunar calendar.
You can use this May Rain lace paper as a covering paper, just like a blind.
It might be a perfect gift for the rainy season...
* Only available in white
【lattice】
This lattice pattern is called "Mimasu lattice" and was devised by the Kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjūrō VII by modifying his family crest, the "Mimasu." It is also known as "Danjūrō lattice."
Great for wrapping gifts for men!
*The standard color is white only, but the bag comes in 5 other colors
The above three patterns have a smaller range of colors than the other patterns, but perhaps their beauty comes from the simple white color.
It would be fun to combine it with other colorful items such as ribbons!
Finally, let us introduce some of the ready-made mesh products that Morisa carries!
・Small roll/white Rakusui washi paper ...10m roll of blinds and lattices. The small roll is recommended for cutting to your desired size!
・LadyRisa Table Origami ...If you like origami, why not try making origami with lace washi paper? It looks stylish even if you just lay it out as it is!
・Checkered paper bag ...This bag is stronger and sturdier than you might think. If you put baked goods in the apricot or raspberry bag, they will definitely look even more delicious!
